Sofitel Marina Hotel & International Conference Center in Cotonou
Cotonou, Benin
General description
The real estate project is a new development of approximately 31,000 m² on a 31-hectare site along the Atlantic Ocean. The site will be managed by the ACCOR hotel group and will feature a central SOFITEL hotel, the group's luxury brand, surrounded by several buildings with various complementary uses. Specifically, the site will include the following buildings and functions:
- SOFITEL Hotel: 200 rooms, meeting and conference rooms, multipurpose rooms, two restaurants, shops, outdoor pools.
- International Conference Center: Private lounges and catering facilities.
- Leisure Building: Cinema halls, casino, restaurant, bar, lounge.
- Spa Building: Massage, relaxation, gym, and daycare center.
In addition to designing the fire safety strategy for each building, Studio Fahrenheit developed an external fire safety strategy that ensures the site's complete self-sufficiency in terms of water supply, fire brigade facilities and power supply. The project was designed to comply with French regulations, ACCOR group's internal hotel standards (BTH), and necessary adaptations to address the site's specific characteristics and the capabilities of local emergency services.
