Marseille Provence Airport
Marseille, France
General description
The extension project for Terminal 1 at Aix Marseille Provence Airport (AMP) includes the creation of a central terminal area and a boarding pier on the airside. The proposed project aims to increase the terminal's capacity, modernize the facilities (both in terms of security and commercial aspects), enhance passenger experience, and optimize flow management. The extension will connect the existing Halls A and B and will involve rehabilitating existing spaces over an area of approximately 30,000m².
Studio Fahrenheit provided fire safety engineering support to the project management team and client, addressing all the specific challenges of this type of building, which lacks specific fire guidance in French Regulations. Multiple standards (such as those for train stations, shopping centers, offices, etc.) were applied to implement safety measures while meeting operational and security constraints.
